Following is the diet regimen that I follow for my dog, a 30 Ib Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I feed all dogs twice daily. I will often fast my dogs one day a week or, may fast one meal a day occasionally. Often, dogs will tend to skip a meal or a day on their own, this is not unusual. However, if your dog refuses to eat for two days, a trip to the vet is warranted.

AM Feeding: 1/8 cup Solid Gold Holistic Blend Dog Food or Prairie Natural, (or any high quality commercial feed that is free of corn, wheat, artificial coloring or dyes, preservatives or questionable additives. (Flint River Ranch, Sensible Choice, Natural Choice are other choices.) I feed approximately 2 raw chicken wings or 4 necks (most dogs can eat them whole, I grind them up as my dogs tend to bolt all food). I frequently will add 1/8 cup of organ meats such as heart, liver, tongue. I also feed meaty beef ribs and beef soup bones, shank or knuckle, which helps keep the teeth clean. Feed bones at least once a week for good exercise of the teeth and jaws. They will also act as a pacifier for an active dog or a dog that needs to be in its crate longer periods of time.

NOTE!!!! All meat is fed RAW!!!!

I also feed Vitamin C, B Complex (Sea Meal), Yucca, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin E, Flax Seed Oil and Missing Link and enzymes. I primarily use Solid Gold supplements or obtain them from health food stores.

PM feeding: Since my dog has a tendency to gain weight easily, I eliminate the dry dog food and feed only the meat and either the fruit or vegetable mixture.

When I am traveling I find that I have to rely on feeding only the dry food which is alright as long as the dog is getting the supplements and meat when you are at home. Or, I carry 5-day cooler with dry ice under regular ice to keep my meat plenty cold.

The Vegetable Mixture: Green leafy vegetables such as spinach, chard, kale. Celery, broccoli, garlic, squash, carrots. NO ONIONS, they are toxic to dogs!!!!! Whatever veggies you are feeding, run them through a food processor and pulp them for greatest digestibility. You can follow the attached recipe for Dr. Billinghursts Healthy Patties. I guarantee dogs will not turn their noses up at this mixture. Alternate the Veggie mix with the Fruit several times a week:

Fruit Mixture: Apples, oranges, strawberries, sweet potatoes, banana, pears, berries, in any combination. I put through food processor and pulp same as I do the veggies.

If your dog appears hungry but more food will attribute to excess weight gain, you can substitute some canned pumpkin for the kibble. Plenty of fiber and empty calories!

Three times a week you can also feed an egg, yogurt, cottage cheese. I just mix into my fruit and veggie mixtures and then I don't have to mess with it separately!

My dogs are thriving on the diet! My vet bills have dwindled to practically nothing and my dogs have beautiful coats, great attitudes and stay in wonderful condition!

If dogs are having trouble making an adjustment to the diet, make the changes slowly, in small doses in order to help the dogs' system adjust to the changes. If you find the dog has some loose stools or diarrhea, don't panic, you are merely cleaning out all the toxins! Most dogs adjust within a few days.
